"Bohemian Rhapsody" is a song by the British rock band Queen. It was written by Freddie Mercury for the band's 1975 album A Night at the Opera. It is a nearly six-minute suite, consisting of several sections without a chorus: an intro, a ballad segment, an operatic passage, a hard rock part and a reflective coda.
When it was released as a single, "Bohemian Rhapsody" became a commercial success, staying at the top of the UK Singles Chart for nine weeks and selling more than a million copies by the end of January 1976. It reached number one again in 1991 for another five weeks when the same version was re-released following Mercury's death, eventually becoming the UK's third-best-selling single of all time.
Although critical reaction was initially mixed, "Bohemian Rhapsody" became Queen's most popular song and is considered one of the greatest rock songs.
In 2004, "Bohemian Rhapsody" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2012, the song topped the list on an ITV nationwide poll in the UK to find "The Nation's Favourite Number One" over 60 years of music, while Mercury's vocal performance was chosen as the greatest in rock history by readers of Rolling Stone.

   American Trilogy (Arrangement)
An American Trilogy is a 1972 song medley arranged by country composer Mickey Newbury and popularized by Elvis Presley, who included it as a showstopper in his concert routines. The medley uses three 19th-century songs:
"Dixie" - a blackface minstrel song that became an anthem of the Confederacy, "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" - a marching hymn of the Union Army during the American Civil War and "All My Trials" — a Bahamian lullaby related to African American spirituals and widely used by folk music revivalists. Alfred R. Stevenson's instrumental arrangement also includes singing passages and is nearly as powerful as Elvis' version.

   Carinthian Music Academy (CMA) Fanfare
For the opening of the Carinthian Academy of Music in Ossiach / Carinthia (Austria) in 2009, Alfred R. Stevenson was asked if he could write a suitable work for large brass ensemble. He gladly accepted this request and tried to dedicate the monastery - with it's history more than a 1000-years - a work that does justice to it.
The Carinthian Music Academy, CMA for short, sees itself as an ambassador - but also as a place in which music is literally lived. Upscale musical events and workshops liven up this time-honored place, allowing it to flourish again.
